Dr. Jayaprakash Narayana Trip to Dallas - 5

We all want change without a change in ourselves.

I was always told, the only constant thing in life is "CHANGE". I could not understand the principle of it when I learned it. Thinking more about it, I would say, its right. We all want a "CHANGE" in others. We all think we are perfect and the only thing which needs to change is in others and not among ourselves. We expect God to be good to us, and constantly change our demands. I am sure, its very difficult even to the almighty to keep up with our ever CHANGING needs. Expectations are hard to meet, if we dont make an effort. Most of us want a gross change in society, corruption and a lot of things in India. On the election day, we dont show up. We are lucky that we conveniently feel that GOD is omnipresent. He is everywhere and he will listen to our prayers and fulfill our needs. If GOD for a CHANGE thinks that, the humans, I have created are becoming lazy, with all the gadgets around them and asks everyone, who wants their needs to be heard (not fullfilled), to stand in a line and make their prayers heard, I am sure most of us will not show up. We will suddenly look at the probability of our WANTS being fulfilled.

What if GOD thinks this WANT is stupid? ---------its 50% of probability.
What if the other person hears about WANT and you dont want him to hear it? -------------It makes it 25% probable.
What if GOD doesnot want to fulfill this WANT? ----------it makes it 5% probability.
What if the quota ends for that day? -----------------it makes it 1% probable

A WANT by a person with a 1% probability is definately a genuine need and needs to be fulfilled. Which is roughly the state of Indian Politics. Most of us dont show up to vote during elections. We NRI's always are focussed on one thing. 1$ = 46Rs. We need to make as many Dollars as possible. Nothing wrong about it. But its important to constantly gauge about where we are and what we wanted to do? We have CHANGING priorities. Lets focus back and leave the priorities and hear what Dr. JP has to say about India.

Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan is in USA as part of the "Rejuvenate India" and is visiting DALLAS. We have an opportunity to meet him and discuss with him about the Incredible India. Plan on being there

State Assembly is the place where decisions are being made by the elected leaders. The decisions are important and each decisioin needs to be planned and debated for the greater good and not based on individual needs. Its very unfortunate, that the assembly proceedings have degraded to a large extent, except for some handfull speakers, who talk deligently and for a good cause. Our state is burdened with the popular schemes and popular schemes are good for re-election, but not for the economy and development. Here is what our so called elected members of state assembly have talked during the assembly preceedings.

1. asalu mee talli kudupuna endhuku puttana, ee lokham loki rakunda unte bagunedhi anukontavu nuvvu. vinu, kadigestanu ninnu --- YSR.
2. em matladuthunnavu nuvvu, Nuvuu pedda magadiva, nuvvu unte kani kudaradhu anukonnava, Siggu saram undali, siggu saram undali, Matladataniki - Rosayya

Assembly lo prati vadiki oka personal agenda. Maaku ma state eppudu estaru ani okaru, maa varganiki pradanyatha ledu ani kondaru, Maa mathaniki emi chestunnaru ani kondaru. Constructive discussions ku tavu lekunda tama personal agenda, vote bank politics tho assembly importance nu taggistunnaru.

This is a major issue today as every common man can see what is happening. I feel its unfortunate, that some of the prominent leaders like Puchchalapalli Sundarayya, Gouthu Lachchanna, ch. rajeswara rao, etc, who were members of assembly around that time did not have this facility. If the communication was soo good at that point of time, then we may not have had these bufoons in assembly.

They were constructive and were most respected among the members of assembly. We are not fortunate, but we still do have a chance. Dr. Jayaprakash Narayana, is one leader. Who doesnot have a personal agenda. He talks what is good and is knowledgable. We need to learn, the new wave of politics, where knowledge and thoughtfull ness pervails. Lets support him.

We can meet him in person and understand his agenda and views on how we could Rejuvinate India. We can meet him at Funasia Richardson between 11.30 and 3.00 during a Fund raising event. or between 4.00 and 6.00 PM at Coppel Middle shcool west.

Make an effort to understand the views of leader. Its rarety these days to find one.

I have a green card, why should I worry?
I have the best job and I am making money, why should I care?
My children love the swimming lessons, They will never go back to india, What difference does it make.
I bought a home and have a successful business here. It is my priority, not indian politics?

We can go ga-ga about happy moments and can show least interest to the state of Indian politics.........

Back to Bus Story

In India we get onto bus on the left hand side. In USA we get onto bus on the right hand side. Nothing wrong about it, but we should always notice that there is an exit door right at the back. I know a bit more about it, due to the city bus travel, I did during my college. In hyderabad curfew is common and during that time buses used to be overcrowded. The only way to go back to home, was if you are willing to travel on the back of bus, by holding onto the rails on the exit door and standing on the mudgaurd. Dangerous, but I still survived.

A window to one opportunity, doesnot mean, that we close the other one. There is one thing more certain in life "CHANGE". NRI's have adopted to lot of changes, and simple one being Boarding the bus. If changes are favourable, then we get exited. If they are not, we look for reasons. We are never prepared for bad changes. But here is one opportunity, we can take, and show that we can keep the other country, or our own country India, livable.

Of the 294 winning members of assembly, we just have a handful of people who can talk passionately, intelligently, to the point, and as per agenda. Lets meet him and assure him that we are open to positive changes in INDIA, our motherland.

It is the responsibility of leadership to provide opportunity, and the responsibility of individuals to contribute.

Government Schools - progress

We talk a lotabout the education. Education for the children, who are less fortunate to get to private schools. We all feel sorry for the state of government schools in India. Particularly about the schools in Andhra Pradesh. A lot of Governments came, but the quality of Government schools has only decreased during the due course. Unfortunately everyone is not capable of paying the high fees associated with private schools. It is scary, when I heard that an average school fees, bus charges, tution fees etc for a kid would cost about 60-70% of the average Indian's income. Most of the kids, are forced to go through the government schools.

In kukatpally constituency alone there are about 8000 Kids who go to Government schools. After living for about 9 years, I am not sure where they are located and what is the state of the schools in kukatpally. Lokstatta party has taken up the survey of schools in kukatpally under the leadership of Krishna Prasad. The survey data was scrutinised and presented to the Local MLA Shri Jayaprakash Narayan. Dr. JP has taken an active part and has promised that he would meet all the Government officials in getting the necessary funds for the schools. The funds would be used to develop the infrastructure of the Government schools and a majority of local NGO's has assured that they would help the schools by means of improving the quality of education in the schools.

Dr. JP and local volunters are meeting DEO and secretary, AP State secondary education to generate the required funds.

Better Education could attribute to Better Lifestyle. This is the first instance, I would think, where an MLA and local volunters are actively striving for the betterment of lives of comman man.

Lets support JP and give COMMAN MAN A CHANCE.
