We all want change without a change in ourselves.
I was always told, the only constant thing in life is "CHANGE". I could not understand the principle of it when I learned it. Thinking more about it, I would say, its right. We all want a "CHANGE" in others. We all think we are perfect and the only thing which needs to change is in others and not among ourselves. We expect God to be good to us, and constantly change our demands. I am sure, its very difficult even to the almighty to keep up with our ever CHANGING needs. Expectations are hard to meet, if we dont make an effort. Most of us want a gross change in society, corruption and a lot of things in India. On the election day, we dont show up. We are lucky that we conveniently feel that GOD is omnipresent. He is everywhere and he will listen to our prayers and fulfill our needs. If GOD for a CHANGE thinks that, the humans, I have created are becoming lazy, with all the gadgets around them and asks everyone, who wants their needs to be heard (not fullfilled), to stand in a line and make their prayers heard, I am sure most of us will not show up. We will suddenly look at the probability of our WANTS being fulfilled.
What if GOD thinks this WANT is stupid? ---------its 50% of probability.
What if the other person hears about WANT and you dont want him to hear it? -------------It makes it 25% probable.
What if GOD doesnot want to fulfill this WANT? ----------it makes it 5% probability.
What if the quota ends for that day? -----------------it makes it 1% probable
A WANT by a person with a 1% probability is definately a genuine need and needs to be fulfilled. Which is roughly the state of Indian Politics. Most of us dont show up to vote during elections. We NRI's always are focussed on one thing. 1$ = 46Rs. We need to make as many Dollars as possible. Nothing wrong about it. But its important to constantly gauge about where we are and what we wanted to do? We have CHANGING priorities. Lets focus back and leave the priorities and hear what Dr. JP has to say about India.
Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan is in USA as part of the "Rejuvenate India" and is visiting DALLAS. We have an opportunity to meet him and discuss with him about the Incredible India. Plan on being there
