Sriramarajyma - my view.

I felt sorry for the kind of actors we have after watching this film.  It reminds of the original in every scene and it is impossible to match the original movie.  Here is what I liked in the movie and what I felt should have been better.

HIGHLIGHTS
1.  Titles - It was good to see the way they played the titles.  The whole RAMAYANA was told in the form of Babu bommaly towards the left hand side.  I liked the way, he reminded the whole RAMAYANA with simple pictures.  HATS OFF.

2.  Rama Pattabhishekam - It was delight to watch Rama getting into Ayodhya, His welcoming song and the whole episode.  HATS OFF

3.  Surya bhagavans statue - It was really a viewers delight. The way it was designed and presented was marvelous.

4.  Sita's Seemantham - The way it was shot and the music was really good.

5.  Background Music - Ilayaraja's background music is delight to hear.  It was top notch and professional.

6.  Lava Kusa's Rama gadha - It cannot be compared to the original song in Lava kusa, but a very good hear and the way it was pictured should be appreciated.

7.  A mole on the Right hand of Bala Krishna - It reminds us of the late shri NTR when we see the mole on the back of balakrishna.  Its good to feel that Bapu garu continued it with Balakrishna.  NTR had an original mole.

8.  Bhudevi Graphics - The way bhudevi graphics was shot in the initial scenes was good.  However the end scenes of bhudevi were not that great and I felt they were too prolonged.

9.  Nayanatara, Bala Krishna performance - To the best of their limits they have performed wells.  Nayana tara could not be compared with Anjali devi.   Nayana tara was looking too young for the Sitas role.  Bala Krishna performed to the best of his ability, but lacked the stature of NTR.

10.  Bapu's direction - It was good at places.  We could see instances of his BOMMALU in the way he shot some scenes.  Scenes between Balakrishna and Nayana tara were good.  The way Bapu moved characters artistically needs appreciation.  There were a couple of closeups of nayana tara, but were not very well shot.

MUST HAVE BEEN BETTER
1.  Camera work - Movies of this stature doesnot need fast movements of the camera.  The cameraman should have avoided the fast movements several times.  The cameraman's work was totally amateurish with the way he set the cameras.  Its very unfortunate that he did not understand the basic framing of the movie.  The important aspect a cameramen needs to take care of is to know the positives of an actor and place camera accordingly. Its very sorry to state that He could not present Bala Krishna in the right manner.  There is a lot to be desired in this aspect.

2.  Settings- some of the settings looked cluttered.  After knowing about the City happenings, Rama walks into the room to have a look at sita. The way that was shot or the setting looked too much cluttered.  There are lot of sets which were not properly designed, They lacked to look real and were looking a lot FAKE.

3. Diction and Sound Recording - the  diction of most of the actors lacked the required base.  This may be an issue with the theater or the way the audio was recorded.  Most of the characters voice lacked the base modulation and it would have been a delight, if that would have been corrected and made sure that the dialogues are properly pronounced.

4.  Akkinenis song - It should have been recorded with a different voice modulation to suit the age of ANR.

5.  Editing - The Editing work is shabby at places.

Making this movie was a treat and is commendable.  I seriously would question the sincerity of making the lava kusa.  I liked the way Bapu has used different instances to explain the different aspects of the Ramayana.  The movie had slow narration in parts and Bapu did not concentrate on the Chakali tippadu's character a lot.  He plays an important role.  Bapu should have concentrated on this character a bit more and used it to have a good folk song, which would have given a breather.

Telugu industry should be proud of making these movies, and I think all the major actors should play some role or the other, a minute 2 minute role would do, in these movies to make it more commercially viable.
